Viper is a platform dedicated to rap fans and supporters of cult scenes worldwide. Lily Mercer, the founder, asked us to rebrand their publication for their 2020 relaunch.
After looking at some other magazines’ logos, we noticed that most had their logos in large font sizes. We thought about what was most essential for Viper’s audience, which resulted in a more refined design to display additional information on the latest issue.
We used this essentialism approach throughout the design of the magazine. Allowing Viper’s articles more space to provide additional information on artists and brands that cult fans desire.
